Leeds results

Champions Poker League, the UK's #1 Pub Poker League
We have now received the results for our Leeds Quarterly Final, held at the weekend at the Grosvenor Casino in Leeds.

Due to most of our venues in the Leeds area not yet having started play, Leeds was one of our smaller finals, but it was still host to a great tournament.

Unfortunately, due to a problem with the tournament management software at the casino we have only been provided with the top ten players from the tournament.

1st Place: Brett McKay
2nd Place: Harry Woodger
3rd Place: Mark Hickman
4th Place: Alan Foster
5th Place: Alan Bridges
6th Place: Jason Poole
7th Place: Samantha Brackenbury
8th Place: David Snook
9th Place: Darren Wright
10th Place: Simon Whitehead

Congratulations to Brett Mckay who pulled off a victory against Harry Woodger with an Ace and a King despite Harry holding onto pocket tens by landing a second king on the flop.

Special mention should go to Samantha Brackenbury, one of the only two female players who attended the final, for making it to the final table. Not impressed? Samantha only started playing poker this season and now has not only qualified through to our Quarterly Finals, but has now secured a spot at our National Final as well!

Another quick mention should go to one of our veteran players, Richard 'El Razor X' Massey, who travelled all the way up to Leeds from the Midlands only to be the second person knocked out. Better luck next time Razor.

Photos of the final are available in our gallery pages. If anyone who attended the final has any more photos they wish to add please send them to marketing1@championspoker.co.uk and we will put them up soon.

Results for the Bristol final also held this weekend will be posted as soon as we receive them.
