Hello There Fellow players.
I have this brilliant idea of challenging the pubs in the local area to a "team" poker event at my local. Basically I want pubs "from any league" to put 3 of their best players forward and have a big game . Points will be gained the longer you last, and all three players scores added together, to determine the best pub players.

Has anyone done this before, if so got any tips????

I have run several Pub team events for pub in my area (Wakefield) we have even had teams come as far as Nottingham and Chester to play.

All I can say is "if you organise it they will come"

It may not be perfect the first time and you may need to tweak your next event but the most important advise I can give you is make your event fun.

My team events in the past had side games: Win with 7-2 off everybody at table paid you 500 chips, Peach Schnapps shots in the middle for part pots, Prizes for 1st flush, 1st full house, etc.

Have a look at my next team event:

At this event you are actualy alowed to pass chips (in a hand) if a team member is at your table who is short stacked. It sound easy enough, but in reality it is hard to do.

Very fun event...
