I meant an average skill leader board, rather than just a skill total, sa the normal skill level jsut keeps increasing until it gets to the max doesnt it?

Is there a 'Skill' leader board? Would be quite interesting to see what the highest skill level is out there, and well we're all doing in comparison.

so what happens if you come 4th out of 7.... 3.5 would be the 50% mark so is a player who finishes 4th 0ut of 7 rounded up or down ?

Table of 20? That's a weird game.

Steve, what you're not taking into account is that you're not the only one taking people out.

If it were just you vs everyone, getting into the top 25% would of course be harder in a larger venue, but you're not the only person knocking people out. Statistically, everyone having an equal chance, you're as likely to end up in the top 25% regardless of number of players.

But as you say, lots of people will be better/worse than they 'should' be. A player play all 13 games at a venue in a season, win and still come away with a negative score. Admittedly they'd have to win say 5 games and come in the bottom 25% in the rest (so their level of 'skill' would be debatable') but it would be techinically possible.

The medals boards and skill ratings etc are arbitrary figures, so don't take them seriously. They're just a bit of fun.

Beanie I wouldn't worry mate! Alot of peoples will be better/worse then they should be! Some places get 19/20players a week others only get 4/5!! I no it works on percentages but obviously it's easier to beat 3 then 17!! I.e q table of 4 to get top 25% u beat 3! table of 20 to get top 25% u beat 15!!

I think you misunderstood, Beanie. It's per tournament, not per season. Each tournament you play in gives you a plus or a minus.

Just looking at someone's skill rating won't give you an accurate idea of their abilities to be honest, you also have to look at their total tournaments.

+10 skill and they've only played 5 games? They're pretty darn good. +10 skill and they've played 100 games? Not as good.

Hope that helps?

i don't understand still lol. Ive played in 3 seasons i think maybe four. i think champions league should work it out in a different way because just because you didn't place near the top.. doesn't mean your not skillful IE. Didn't play as many games.

Hi Paul, It's quite simple really. Players are awarded 2 skill points for finishing in the top 25% of a tournament, 1 skill point for finishing in the next 25%, lose a point for finishing in the 3rd 25% and lose two points for finishing in the bottom 25%.

This means that simply by glancing at a player's skill score you can get a reasonable idea of how good of a player they are. The higher the better.
